Lauren is a lifelong skater with a passion for helping others experience the joy and confidence that skating brings. A member of U.S. Figure Skating (USFS) since 1994, she began coaching at age 15 — helping new skaters find balance and control on the ice. In 2001, she earned USFS Gold Medalist distinction, and in 2004 became a Professional Skaters Association–accredited coach.
Training & Experience
Originally from Long Island, Lauren also trained under top coaches at the University of Delaware and Lake Placid, competing regionally in singles and nationally with the Orange Experience Synchronized Skating Team while attending Syracuse University. Her coaching experience spans competitive figure skating, choreography, off-ice conditioning, and power skating instruction across some of New York’s top rinks — including The Rinx, Dix Hills Park, and Cicero Twin Ice.
Today
After years of honing her communication skills as a leader in healthcare PR, she’s found her way back to the rink as her kids have discovered their love of skating, and is so grateful. 💛
Coaching Philosophy
Having experienced both the highs of competition and the challenges of performance anxiety, Lauren approaches coaching with a balance of technical discipline and mental awareness. Her goal is simple: to help every skater master their edges, build confidence, and find joy in progress — on and off the ice.
